Katya Jaimes Joins Northrop & Johnson As Charter Broker.
Fort Lauderdale, FL. Northrop & Johnson is delighted to announce the
arrival of Katya Jaimes into the charter retail division, based in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Katya was born and educated in Siberia, Russia, where the closest
ocean is thousands of miles away. After graduating college
with a dual degree in Engineering and Economics for railway
transport, she realized building bridges and tunnels for
Siberian Railroads was not her life dream.
Moving to New York, Katya began working for a private
mega yacht management company. She gained
invaluable experience in yacht support, logistics,
and operational and financial management within the
mega yacht sector. She was also involved in the private
aviation and luxury hotel division of the company.
During this time, she assisted in the organization of
yacht vacations, and decided this was her true passion.
Having moved to Fort Lauderdale to be closer to the yachting
capital, Katya has now focused on the charter industry,
providing a seamless set of services to her clients.
Her ability to fluently speak, write and read Russian
gives Katya the ability to clearly communicate with many
Eastern European clients, one of the fastest growing
clientele in the industry.
"I am proud to be a part of Northrop and Johnson's truly
amazing "family" organization. Customizing unforgettable
charter vacations for my clients with enthusiasm and vast
knowledge is a welcomed challenge for me. The company
gives me the tools through visiting charter yachts,
experiencing great charter destinations and continual
education to offer a personal approach to finding the best
match possible for each client, with great attention to
detail. I find this very rewarding."
During her free time, Katya enjoys traveling home to Russia
where she spends time climbing the Ural Mountains and
camping. She also enjoys yoga retreats and visits to
remote islands in the Indian Ocean.
