NORTHROP & JOHNSON FORT LAUDERDALE NAMES SCOTT CARLSON AS NEW CHARTER BROKER
Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Northrop & Johnson is
delighted to announce the addition of Scott
Carlson to the Fort Lauderdale team as Charter Broker.
Scott grew up in Holland, Michigan where he
started sailing on his father's boat on the
waters of Lake Michigan. After college Scott
moved to Vail, Colorado, where he worked as
a mountaineer guide, tracking animals for
the Forest Service. After 5 years of living
in the beautiful mountains the seas called
to him once again and he moved to Ft.
Lauderdale, FL where he joined a 82'
Sunseeker. During this time Scott earned
his Captain's license and started delivering
boats up and down the ICW from Miami to DC,
NYC and the Hamptons. Scott was then offered
a job on a new Feadship, built in Holland -
this really started his career in the super
yacht industry. He spent four solid years on M/Y HARLE,
the 45m Feadship, experiencing a first-class education
in owner's needs and expectations, discipline and a
top-notch work ethic, all while earning the First
Officer's position. Scott also upgraded to his 200-ton
license during this time. Knowing that he always wanted
to stay in the industry, coupled with his love of sales,
Scott enthusiastically pursued a position at Northrop & Johnson.
Today, Scott is honored to be a part of the Northrop &
Johnson family as a Charter Broker and is focused on
continuing his founding principles of honesty, integrity and fair play.
